Channels: the finishing posts of an ACT wall
In our ACT steel posts silo, the H beam UC posts do the mid-run work and these TFC channels finish the job. A channel has one open face, so it is the post for wall ends, height step-downs, and anywhere sleepers arrive from a single direction. Ordering a Canberra wall usually means pairing this category with the H channel UC posts: UC posts through the middle, TFC channels at the ends.
Size follows the run it terminates. The 100 TFC channel at $16 matches 100 series walls, the low garden and terrace tier. The 150 TFC at $45 matches 150 series walls, the tier where ACT jobs usually carry certified engineering, since certified design is commonly required in ACT approvals and the territory’s reactive clay and frost push designers conservative. Match the channel size to the UC size on the drawings; a mismatched end post is an avoidable defect at certification.
