Three H beam weights, one section size
This category isolates the H beams of the Queensland 150 series so buyers working off an engineer’s schedule can go straight to the section called up. All three share the 150 UC profile and differ by mass: 150 UC 23 at 23 kg/m, 150 UC 30 at 30 kg/m, and 150 UC 37 at 37 kg/m. Heavier mass means more steel resisting bending, which is how one section size spans a wide band of wall heights and surcharges. Your drawings, not this page, decide which weight you need; in Queensland, certified engineering is commonly required once a wall passes about a metre or runs near a boundary.
H beams are the intermediate posts. Sleepers drop into the flanges on both sides, so every post in the middle of a run is a UC. The ends of each run take the matching 150 PFC channel instead, found in the C Channel 150 category alongside this one in the Queensland steel posts silo. Count bays for your UC quantity, ends and steps for your channels, corners for welded corner posts, and the steel package is complete.
Supply is where Queensland buyers get an edge. 150 UC 30 and 150 UC 37 are fixed-length local Queensland stock, delivered metro Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba in roughly 1 to 3 days when stocked. Anything outside the stocked lengths is cut to length and galvanised in Melbourne, about a week plus roughly three days freight north. Either way the coating is hot-dip galvanising to AS/NZS 4680 applied after cutting, and if a yard runs dry we can often substitute the next size at the same price, confirmed with you first.
Can I upsize the beam instead of paying for engineering?
No. A heavier post does not fix footing depth, drainage or sleeper spec, and it will not satisfy council. Get the design, then buy exactly what it says.
How are full-length UC posts unloaded?
Forklift offload is standard; crane truck offload is available on request. Flag tight access when you book.
What if my wall is taller than the 150 series covers?
The Queensland range continues with the 200 UC 46 and 250 UC 72 heavy duty series.
