45 Degree Corner
45 degree corner posts for the 150 Heavy Duty series create angled junctions in structural sleeper walls. Each post is hot-dip galvanised steel sized for 100-120mm sleepers.
They suit walls that follow boundaries, driveways or contours where a square turn does not fit. Get component pricing through the calculator.

When a wall needs a 45 degree turn
45 degree corner posts let a 150 series wall step around obstacles gradually instead of forcing a hard right angle. Typical uses are walls tracking an angled boundary, splayed driveway entries, and terraced yards where runs meet on the diagonal. The post receives 100-120mm concrete sleepers from both directions at the fixed 45 degree angle, so both runs bear into one galvanised member.
Matching the corner to the rest of the wall
Corner posts must match the series of the intermediate and end posts around them. The 150 Heavy Duty series is certified for walls to 4.5 metres with engineer approval, and higher walls with corners concentrate load at the junction, so confirm footing sizes at every change of direction. Our engineering guidance page explains what your engineer will need; RWS supplies to certified designs but does not produce them. Straight-run posts, including 150UC H-beams and 150PFC end posts, are listed in the parent category.
Stock, cutting and freight
Posts are cut to your specified lengths and hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 4680, ACRS compliant. Freight runs on external transport to forklift-accessible sites, with warehouses in Victoria, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide covering most metro areas quickly.
Can I combine 45 and 90 degree corners in one wall?
Yes. Any mix of corner joiners can be used along a single wall provided every post belongs to the same series and the design keeps consistent sleeper bearing at each junction. Set out all turn points before ordering so lengths are cut correctly.
Do angled corners change how much soil the wall holds?
An inside 45 degree corner concentrates retained soil pressure at the junction. For walls over 1 metre or carrying surcharge, have your engineer check the corner post embedment as part of the certified design.
