Galvanising and corrosion resistance
All posts supplied for Sydney projects are hot dip galvanised, specified to AS/NZS 4680 for coatings on fabricated steel components. Galvanising after cutting means no exposed raw edges below ground. If a competing quote looks cheap, check it is actually galvanised: raw or painted steel buried in Sydney soils will not see out the life of the wall, and it is the most common corner cut we see in the market.
