Choosing between 150UC23, 30 and 37
The three sections share the same 150UC profile but step up in weight and load capacity. Heavier sections handle taller walls, wider post centres and surcharge from driveways or structures above the wall. Your engineer selects the section; the certified design sets which UC weight, what embedment and what centres apply. How H-beams and end posts work together
H-beam (UC) posts sit within the wall run and carry concrete sleepers in both flanges. Each run is then closed off with 150PFC C-channel end posts, which take sleepers on one side only. Corners use matched 45 or 90 degree joiners from the same series. All 150 series posts pair with 100-120mm sleepers; walls under about 1.8 metres using 75-80mm sleepers can often use the lighter 100 series instead.
Standards and supply
Every post is hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 4680 and ACRS compliant, supplied welded or non-welded and cut to size. Steel ships from Bayswater, Hallam and Cranbourne West in Victoria, plus Wetherill Park, Brendale, Acacia Ridge and Lonsdale interstate. Trade accounts through the trade portal get 72-hour delivery on paid orders or next-day pickup.
What post length do I need for a 1.5 metre wall?
Post length equals exposed wall height plus engineered embedment, and embedment varies with soil and surcharge. A certified design specifies the total length, and we cut posts to match it exactly.
