Why the Canberra range leads with 60MPa
Concrete strength is graded in megapascals, and RWS sleepers come in 40, 50 and 60MPa grades. Every certified sleeper is steel-reinforced with N10 or N12 reo, compliant with AS3600, and engineer-certified with a 50-year lifespan on certified ranges, plus a 20-year warranty on specific sizes. Building the full wall system
Sleepers slot into hot-dip galvanised steel posts (AS/NZS 4680, ACRS compliant), and the pairing rule is strict: 75-80mm sleepers take 100 series posts, 100-120mm sleepers take 150 Heavy Duty posts, which support walls to 4.5m with engineer approval. C-channel posts finish exposed ends, corner posts turn 45 or 90 degree junctions, and fence brackets mount fencing above the wall. Canberra’s frost-prone winters make a non-rotting, non-warping wall material an easy call over timber. Getting sleepers to the ACT

Is 60MPa concrete worth it for a small Canberra garden wall?
