Kensington concrete sleepers are the premium patterned sleeper in our Canberra range: a charcoal stackstone and bookleaf face that reads as stacked natural stone once the wall is up. It has been a flagship of the Outback-named range since 2002, is 60MPa and engineer certified, and carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty on selected sizes. From $55.20 per sleeper.

Canberra walls are usually front-of-block and visible, and Kensington is the range we quote most when the wall has to look like a design feature rather than infrastructure. Structurally it is the same certified system as the rest of the range: frost, reactive clay and termites do not touch it, unlike timber. For a smoother charcoal at a lower price, see Blackwood sleepers; for a rock face, see McLaren.
Does the pattern change the engineering?
No. The decorative face is cast into the same reinforced 60MPa sleeper, so post spacing and wall height rules are unchanged. Certified engineering documentation is available with your quote for ACT approvals.
What is the lead time to Canberra?
Kensington ships from our partner yard at Wetherill Park NSW and is freighted into the ACT. We confirm the delivery window at quote stage because it depends on the NSW freight run.
Which posts suit which thickness?
75 and 80mm sleepers run in 100 series steel; 100, 120 and 130mm sleepers run in 150 series such as the 150 TFC channel.
