200 Heavy Duty Series (QLD)
The 200 Heavy Duty Series in Queensland is a single, serious post: the 200 UC 46, a 46 kg/m hot-dip galvanised H beam for tall engineered walls where the 150 series tops out.200 UC 46 is one of the sections we hold as fixed-length local Queensland stock, so it avoids the Melbourne cut-and-galvanise wait when your length is on the shelf. Ask for a same-day quote with your engineer’s schedule.

When a Queensland wall steps up to 200 UC 46
This category is deliberately narrow. In the Queensland steel posts silo, the 200 series sits between the three-weight 150 Heavy Duty range and the 250 UC 72 at the top, and it holds exactly one product: the 200 UC 46 post. If your engineer’s drawings specify a 200 UC, this is the page; if they specify 150 or 250 sections, use the neighbouring series rather than sizing up or down yourself.
Walls that land on 200 UC 46 are almost always certified designs: significant retained height, sloping ground above, or surcharge from driveways and structures. Queensland councils commonly require engineering above about a metre or near boundaries, and at the heights where a 200 section is specified you should assume approval drawings are part of the job. We are a supplier, not your certifier, but we quote directly off post schedules every week and will flag anything that looks off before it ships.
On supply: because 200 UC 46 is fixed-length local Queensland stock, metro Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba deliveries typically run 1 to 3 days when stocked. Lengths outside the stocked list go through Melbourne cutting and galvanising, roughly a week plus about three days freight, so confirm lengths early if your program is tight. If your exact length is out at the yard, we can often substitute the next size at the same price, always confirmed with you first. Every post is hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 4680 after cutting.
How heavy is a 200 UC 46 post to handle?
At 46 kg/m, a full-height post is a machine lift, not a two-person carry. Forklift offload is standard on delivery; crane truck offload is available on request and worth booking for tight or sloped sites.
Can this post be made into a corner?
Corner posts are welded to custom angles on request. Send the inverse angle of your corner with the quote request and we price the fabrication with the post.
What sleepers pair with it?
Any of our Queensland concrete sleepers, per your engineer’s sleeper specification, with drainage gravel and ag pipe behind the wall as standard practice.
National equivalent: Super Heavy Duty Series.
