Which sleeper width do you need?
Width is the structural spec of a concrete sleeper. Every sleeper we sell is formatted as length x 200 x width, so a 2000 x 200 x 80 sleeper is 80mm thick. Thicker sleepers span greater soil loads, pair with heavier posts and carry more steel, but they also weigh more and cost more to freight, so the right choice is the thinnest width that safely does the job.

How width pairs with posts
75mm and 80mm sleepers sit in 100 Standard series posts and suit walls to about 1.8m. From 100mm up, sleepers move to 150 Heavy Duty posts, which take engineered walls to 4.5m with engineer approval. Anything above 1m of retained height generally needs sign off, so read our engineering guide before ordering.
Common to every width
All sleepers are steel reinforced with N10 or N12 bar, AS3600 compliant and poured in 40, 50 or 60MPa strengths. Certified ranges carry an engineer certified 50 year lifespan, with a 20 year warranty on specific sizes. You can also shop by length, colour or pattern, and delivery runs Australia wide from our VIC, NSW, QLD and SA yards.
