Super Heavy Duty Series
Super heavy duty retaining wall posts are hot-dip galvanised universal columns (UC) and PFC end posts from 200UC46 up to 310UC158, engineered for retaining walls over 2 metres, commercial projects and council works. Retaining Wall Supplies stocks full-length sections in Melbourne and cuts every post to the nearest 100 mm to match your engineering schedule, before hot-dip galvanising, with delivery Australia-wide.The 200 UC 46 and 200 PFC below are our most-ordered super heavy duty sections. Larger sizes such as 200UC52, 200UC59.5, 250UC72.9, 250UC89.5, 310UC96.8, 310UC118 and 310UC158, plus 250 and 300 PFC end posts, are cut to order from Melbourne stock. Send us your engineering takeoff or schedule and we will quote the full post list, usually the same day.

Why order big steel from Retaining Wall Supplies
Most retaining wall suppliers do not stock universal columns above 200 UC. We hold container-imported full lengths of up to 12 m and beyond in Melbourne, cut to your engineering schedule and hot-dip galvanised, typically within a week, then freighted to any Australian metro (allow around 3 extra days to Brisbane). Popular sizes are also stocked in Queensland at fixed lengths. Corner posts and welded fence brackets can be fabricated to the same schedule.
How to get a quote
Email your engineering takeoff, post schedule or drawings to info@retainingwallsupplies.com.au, or call 0485 856 986. Include section sizes, cut lengths and delivery postcode. Standard quotes go out the same day.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there no prices on the larger sizes?
Sections above 200 UC are cut from full-length stock, so the price depends on your cut list: the number of posts, lengths and offcut efficiency. Quoting case by case keeps the price sharp; most quotes are returned the same day.
Are the posts galvanised?
Yes. Every post is hot-dip galvanised after cutting. Watch for cheaper quotes on raw (non-galvanised) steel: buried steel without galvanising will not last in retaining wall service.
What is the difference between UC and UB posts?
UC (universal column) sections are square-profiled with wide flanges: the heavy-duty choice for retaining wall posts. UB (universal beam) sections are taller and lighter per metre; a 310UB46 weighs about the same per metre as a 200UC46. Your engineering schedule specifies which. We stock both. See the Heavy Duty UB range.
How long does a big steel order take?
Cutting and galvanising takes about one week from order confirmation, plus transit, roughly 3 days Melbourne to Brisbane. In-stock fixed-length sizes ship sooner.
