Heavy duty treated pine timber sleepers in 200x100mm section are the thicker of our two treated pine lines, suited to timber retaining walls, chunky garden steps and edging where the standard 75mm sleeper feels light. Treated to CCA H4 standard for in-ground use, they are protected against severe decay, termites and borers, and kiln-dried before treatment for consistent quality and less cracking or warping.
Sizes
Available in 200x100mm section at 1.8m, 2.4m and 3.0m lengths, with a rough-sawn face that gives a natural, rustic character to landscaping work.
75mm or 100mm treated pine?
The 200x75mm sleepers handle edging and light duties at the lowest cost; the 100mm section is the pick where the sleeper spans further or carries more soil. Both share the same H4 CCA treatment and kiln-dried preparation.
When should I use concrete instead?
For walls doing serious retaining work, or where you never want to rebuild, concrete sleepers are the stronger choice: steel reinforced, engineer certified, immune to rot and termites, and available in timber-look woodgrain finishes if you like the timber aesthetic. Timber remains the budget-friendly option for low garden structures.
