100mm is where concrete sleepers move from garden duty to genuine structural work. The jump from 80mm changes the whole system: sleepers shift from 100 Standard posts to 150 Heavy Duty series posts, and the rated wall height climbs from about 1.8m to 4.5m with engineer approval. It is also the width we stock most deeply, with 33 products across lengths, colours and patterns, so matching a finish to the rest of your landscaping is rarely a problem.

Handling and installation
Weight is the practical difference on site. Two person lifts are unrealistic above 80mm, so plan machine handling for 100mm sleepers: an excavator, telehandler or crane truck placing panels as posts go in. Like every sleeper we sell, the 100mm range is steel reinforced with N10 or N12 bar, AS3600 compliant, and available in 40, 50 and 60MPa strengths. Certified ranges carry an engineer certified 50 year lifespan.
FAQ
Do I need an engineer for a 100mm sleeper wall? Taller walls in this system are rated to 4.5m with engineer approval, so any significant retained height should be signed off. Our engineering page explains the process.
How are 100mm sleepers delivered? Australia wide from our VIC, NSW, QLD and SA yards, palletised at 8 sleepers per pallet. Forklift access is required at the delivery address, so contact us if access is tight.
