The 150 x 75 C channel is the finishing post of our Adelaide steel range. Where a universal beam carries sleepers on both sides, the C channel’s single open face takes the last sleeper at the end of a run, at steps in wall height, or against a boundary, leaving a clean closed back rather than an exposed flange. On heavier walls it partners the 150 UB: UBs through the middle, 150 x 75 channels at the ends.
Hot-dip galvanised for in-ground service and cut to length in 200mm steps from 600mm to 3600mm: 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2200, 2400, 2600, 2800, 3000, 3200, 3400 and 3600mm.

When do I use a C channel instead of a UB?
Any position where sleepers enter from one side only: wall ends, top-of-wall steps, and corners formed with a paired channel. Straight mid-run posts are more economical as UBs.
How many C channels does a wall need?
Typically two per straight run, one at each end, plus extras at each height step or corner. Count your ends and steps, then send us the list for a quote.
Do C channels need bigger footings?
No different from equivalent UB posts. Footing size follows wall height and soil, per your engineering.
