The 125 x 65 C channel is the short-section specialist of our Adelaide steel range. It is stocked in one length only, 600mm, which tells you its job: it is a packer and stub-post piece, used for finishing details such as capping a step in wall height, supporting a short top course, or packing out an end where a full-length post is not needed. It is not intended as a primary post for full-height walls.
Like every post we sell, it is hot-dip galvanised so the buried portion resists corrosion for the life of the wall. The open channel face accepts a sleeper end in the same way as its bigger sibling, the 150 x 75 C channel, which runs to 3600mm and handles the structural end-post positions. Mid-run posts on Adelaide walls come from the universal beam range, the 120 x 65 and 150 UB.

What is a 600mm channel actually used for?
Common uses: a stub post concreted in to hold a single top sleeper at a wall step, a packer behind an end sleeper, and short garden-edge details of one course.
Can I join two to make a longer post?
No. Spliced posts are not a structural substitute for a full-length section. Use a 150 x 75 at the correct length instead.
Does it suit both 75mm and 100mm sleepers?
Channel openings suit standard sleeper thicknesses in the lighter range. Confirm your sleeper thickness with us before ordering and we will check the fit.
