The Lonsdale UFP Standard is a plain grey concrete under fence plinth, 2340 x 200 x 50mm with 2 x N10 bars, priced from $45.19. Its job is simple: sit under the fence, hold back garden beds and mulch, close the pet gap, and stop fence palings rotting at ground level. Because it is concrete rather than treated pine, it is a fit-once solution.
In the NSW range it is the neutral-colour plinth. The Blackwood UFP is the identical format in charcoal for dark fences, and if you are stepping the ground more than one plinth course, move up to Lonsdale 60MPa sleepers in the same grey so the fence line and wall match.
Is a 50mm plinth strong enough to retain soil?
For a single course under a fence, yes; that is what it is designed for. It is not an engineered retaining sleeper, so for genuine level changes use 75mm or thicker sleepers with proper posts and get engineering advice where the wall height requires it.
How do I get plinths in Sydney?
Pickup is from our supplier yard at Wetherill Park, appointment only, afternoons before 3:30pm. Delivered orders from the NSW supplier usually take 5 to 10 business days, with the delivery date confirmed about a day out.
