The 700 x 70 x 8mm HDG fence bracket is the timber-fence version of our NSW bracket range: a wider and thicker hot dip galvanised section that fixes to the retaining wall post and carries a timber fence post above the wall. Timber fences are heavier and catch more wind than Colorbond, so this bracket’s 70mm face and 8mm thickness are what give the connection its margin. Priced from $18, in black.
Check you have the right variant before ordering:
- 700 x 70 x 8mm (this product): for timber fence posts and heavier fence builds.
- 700 x 48 x 5mm Colorbond variant: the slimmer bracket sized for standard Colorbond posts.
Both are hot dip galvanised, so they will not be the first thing to rust on a coastal Sydney block; galvanising to match the posts is the difference between this and cheap painted brackets.
How many brackets do I need?
One per fence post, which normally means one per retaining wall post when the fence follows the wall line. Order them together with your galvanised retaining wall posts so everything arrives in one delivery.
Can you weld brackets to the posts?
For engineered or commercial jobs, yes: brackets can be welded to the retaining posts to your fencing layout, then the assembly galvanised. Send the drawings with your quote request.
NSW delivery and pickup?
Brackets ship with post orders; NSW deliveries typically run 5 to 10 business days, or collect with your order from Wetherill Park by appointment, afternoons before 3:30pm.
