The 100 TFC 45 degree corner post handles the wall corners that are not square: two galvanised 100 TFC channels welded at 45 degrees so sleepers on both legs of the corner stay fully engaged. On Canberra blocks these show up at splayed driveway entries, angled boundaries and garden beds cut across a corner, where forcing a 90 degree post would leave sleeper ends unsupported. It is part of the 100 series in our ACT steel post range, for 75 and 80mm sleepers. Square corners use the 90 degree corner post, and straight runs use the 100 TFC channel. All are hot-dip galvanised for in-ground life; corners sit in concrete footings the same as straight posts.
My corner is not exactly 45 or 90 degrees. Can it be made?
Yes. Custom-angle corner posts are fabricated to order from the angle on your site plan, quoted case by case. This is a common request on Canberra battle-axe blocks and curved driveways approximated with angled segments.
Do corner posts need bigger footings?
A corner post collects load from two wall directions, so footing size follows the engineered design rather than the standard straight-post detail. ACT approvals generally want that certified design anyway; we can supply engineering documentation with your quote.
